More Flying ...

We arrived in Paris on the morning of June 18 (local time) and went to the Air France lounge to wait until our flight to Delhi. Loved the "Mini Pesto Grissini" they had at the lounge as well as the shaved ham, bread, croissants, and coffee. The Air France Lounge is quite comfortable and Sheila did enjoy her first taste of French croissants and pastries at the lounge.

Made it to our gate on time with no hassles and boarded the flight. The seating space was cramped (after our first economy comfort flight), but bearable. We were in the middle section of a 2-4-2 configuration and no one had the two seats next to us. So, Sheila and I enjoyed the relative privacy of having the middle four seats to ourselves. Watched "Last Vegas" (okay) and "Saving Mr. Banks" which was very good - something I think amma would enjoy a lot.

The arrival into Delhi was also great. There was no line at Immigration and we walked right up to the officer. The airline had given us a "Customs" card to fill out, but no Immigration card. The officer was nice enough to give us a card to fill out, which we did right at the counter. There was absolutely no issue with the fact that Sheila's visa was on an old passport. The officer made no mention of it and just stamped our passports.

Since we had no booked baggage, we withdrew some cash, got a prepaid cab, and headed to the hotel in Gurgaon. The flight arrived at the gate at 11 PM and we were in the hotel lobby by midnight. A record time, I would say.
